Lucky Raymond

I am Lucky Raymond and I joined Mayungu Children Centre in the year 2008. I have therefore been part of this great family between the years of 2008 and 2011. I left the institution following the completion of my primary school studies. The institution helped me a great deal by giving me scholarships across all levels of my studies.

I went to secondary school under the scholarship of Mayungu Children Centre where I passed my final exam very well. Having passed my exams, I later joined college where I pursued a Bachelors degree in Bachelor of science (Basic science with IT). It would not have been possible if it were not for the support from the institution and therefore, I cannot thank them enough.

Apart from giving me the much-needed scholarship, the institution also provided basic needs such as good shelter, clothing and food. We lived comfortably and this made us feel at home. Besides that, we were taught good morals and values to be better versions of ourselves. I have always felt privileged to be part of this family and I cannot thank them enough for the way they took good care of us.

Elisha Karisa Gona

I am Elisha Karisa Gona, raised by a single mother. My father passed on due to a heart attack. This led me to Mayungu Children Center. I started my junior academy school at Mayungu Children Center under the great support of the manager, Hellen Mwikali and later transferred to Bakhita preparatory school where I started class one up to class eight.

In the year 2016, I did my first national exam, KCPE and graduated handsomely with 331 marks which pushed me to the secondary school level. After appropriate guidance by Madam Hellen the manager. I was supported to join Godoma Secondary School in 2017; by the good governance of the director and manager I was able to graduate from secondary school with a mean grade of C +.

After that, I joined Kenya Medical Training College where I decided to pursue a Diploma in clinical medicine and surgery in Kericho County. The support given by Mayungu Children Center helped me settle by acquiring shelter, food and assisted in payment of my current yearly school fee of 80,700.

At Children Centre Mayungu, we provide food, shelter, healthcare, education, and play so every child can reach their full potential.
