Refuge To Vulnerable Children

In 2017, Children Centre Mayungu stepped up to meet the needs of a vulnerable group – 43 children rescued from a cult in Malindi. These children had experienced unimaginable hardship and required a safe haven to heal and rebuild their lives.

From Distress to Hope

The children arrived at the Centre fearful and withdrawn. Our dedicated staff provided immediate care, offering nutritious food, comfortable shelter, and most importantly, a sense of security and protection. Through a combination of individual counseling, group therapy, and a nurturing environment, the children began to heal.

Rehabilitation and Reintegration

Children Centre Mayungu’s holistic approach focused not just on physical well-being but also on emotional and social needs. The children were encouraged to express themselves creatively, learn new skills, and reconnect with their cultural heritage. Through educational opportunities and vocational training, they were empowered to build a brighter future for themselves.

A Beacon of Hope in the Community

The story of these 43 children is a testament to the vital role Children Centre Mayungu plays in our community. By offering a safe harbor and comprehensive support, we give vulnerable children the chance to heal, learn, and thrive.
