Our Founder

Children Center Mayungu was founded by Maria Luisa Travalia and her husband the
late Renato Valeri and registered with the Ministry of Gender, children and Social
Development (Registration number 000444).

Maria Luisa, a caring member of the Malindi community, saw the struggles of vulnerable children right here in her own backyard. Her compassion sparked a movement of generosity. With the help of family and friends, she began supporting these children, opening doors to brighter futures. Your donation continues this legacy of hope.

At Children Center Mayungu, we believe every child deserves a bright future. Since our doors opened, we’ve transformed the lives of over 240 children. Today, 78 children call Mayungu home or receive vital support through our outreach programs. We provide food, shelter, clothing, education, and healthcare, but it’s your generosity, our friends with big hearts, that makes this incredible journey of hope possible.
